Introduction to Anthem MCP’s Maternal Mental Health Services

Anthem MCP is committed to supporting maternal mental health through a robust network of programs and community partnerships designed to address the emotional and physical well-being of pregnant and postpartum members. Through their New Baby, New Life program, Anthem provides personalized case management, mental health support, and targeted services for high-risk pregnancies. Members have access to 24/7 virtual mental health care via LiveHealth Online, and can benefit from incentive-based programs that promote engagement in key maternal health milestones.

Anthem also partners with local organizations, such as Community Doulas of Sacramento, to operate a Mobile Birth & Infant Health Van, bringing essential health services—including mental health screenings and postpartum care—directly into under-resourced communities. With comprehensive care coordination, education, and behavioral health integration, Anthem ensures members receive the support they need before, during, and after pregnancy.
